Sick dog, first time owner WHAT DO I DO?

Asked: Sick dog, first time owner WHAT DO I DO?

I recently got a dog, her name is Dino, she is five weeks old. she has had diarrhea since last night, she won't eat, or drink, and was very weak. I wanted to take her to the doctor, but after talking to other dog owners they all advised me to just wait it out, and see what happens. this morning she had all of her energy back, however she is still a little weak and unbalanced. she still won't eat and i'm thinking I should take her just to be sure. any suggestions on what it could be, or any home remedies I can try to get her better to save on the bill? NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS PLEASE I'M A FIRST TIME MOM SO THIS IS ALL VERY NEW TO ME. thank you so much!!!

How to make Pit Bull muscular?

Asked: How to make Pit Bull muscular?

    I don't own a pit bull, wouldn't.
But my brother wanted me to ask this for him, how does he make his 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull more muscular, and NO not for dog fighting of course, just because he likes the muscular look. He already takes his dog hiking, swims with him, daily walks, feeds him good. But he's not beefy enough he says, so is there suppliments (NOT STEROIDS), but like protein powder or supplimental pills for maximum muscle? If so, what are they called

Dogs got into a little scrap?

Asked: Dogs got into a little scrap?

Hey my dogs got into a little fight, nothing big lasted maybe 10 sec but it was my boxer mix and my pug mix so the pug got one little bite mark, nothing big hardly any blood at all, I put neosporn on it and wrapped it up in ace bandage so he wouldn't scratch it. And the boxer mix may have hurt her butt because when she grabed the pug I liked her in her butt, she didn't yelp or anything. But my question is when would it be ok to put them back together? The got into the fight because the boxer accidentally jumped on the pug and he freaked out and bit at her face and ya then they just went at it. Thanks for reading

High libido, no sleep, high productivity?

Asked: High libido, no sleep, high productivity?

I was just curious if there was anything to describe what I have or whatnot:

*I sleep about 4 hours a day everyday, and I'm never tired.
*I can work like a dog on projects and stuff for days on end.
*I have a high libido (don't know where it comes from), I can have sex 3-4 times a day without decreasing my "performance" quality
*I love to talk to people
*I'll admit, I talk A LOT to people
*I enjoy school, but learning about really small and visual stuff. I hated my Physics I mechanics class, but I LOOOOVED my Physics II electricity and magnetism class because it was seeing the unknown
*I'm really hoppy when I teach, I make all kinds of jokes and jump around, and sometimes driving home, I reminiscence how much I was a clown
*People think I'm extremely goofy and hyper. I've been accused of being on drugs.
*I really love music. Without music when I drive, I'll go insane.
    *I don't eat a lot
*I'm obsessed with odd numbers. I drink in sips of 3. Eat candies and stuff in pairs of 1,3,5, or 7.
*I hate even numbers. They're disgusting.
    *Very OCD and germophobic

I don't know where my energy comes from, I swear there's a natural generator somewhere giving this to me, because I don't get a lot of calories, and my sleep patterns suck.

Why does my dog turn around and kick at our puppy?

Asked: Why does my dog turn around and kick at our puppy?

He also does this to his hump toy, he will go up to it.. sniff, then turn around and kick it with his hind leg. It kind of makes me upset when he does this to the puppy because it seems rude (yes I know hes a dog lol). He's actually smaller than the puppy, which is a 4 month pom who is way above average for his age. The adult dog I'm talking about is a 13 month chihuahua.

    What happened to my dogs?

Asked: What happened to my dogs?

I have two dogs that died last night. We are not sure what happened, actually, we have NO idea what happened. They were both fine yesterday afternoon but both started to act sick in the evening. They were larthargic and breathing heavy and when theu died a lot of fluid came out of them. The part that makes this hard to figure out is that they have nothing in common. One is an outside dog and the other inside, one is anout 5 and the other is 3. One is a hunting dog and the other a chihuahua. The chihuahua very rarely goes outside… maybe once a day. Help please so that I can protect my other dogs.

I’m not included in my sisters bridal party?

Asked: I’m not included in my sisters bridal party?

I just found out that I'm not going to be included in my sisters bridal party, although our youngest sister is included. It has nothing to do with money because my youngest sister is flat broke as well and on probation to top it off! I've never even been arrested. It's just me who is not included. Of course I'm hurt and I've been ugly crying since I found out but I don't want to impose myself into the wedding because of my hurt feelings and confusion since it's not my day. It is HER choice.

Since I'm broke and right now have more important things to worry about rather than flying across the country, buying a new dress as a guest, setting myself up in a hotel for a few days etc etc when I have NO money, can I graciously opt out of this wedding without looking spiteful or selfish? It keeps popping into my head I won't even be included in the wedding photos – I'm not invited to be a part of the wedding party.

I was putting money that I DON'T HAVE aside since I thought 100% I would be included and not the black sheep but turns out I was wrong. The reason she gave me is "we're not that close" but even her soon to be sister-in-law is a BM. The entire family is included (even family like me who lives across the country) except me, even a couple from a church who attends are part of her wedding part. They aren't even family. If I'm obviously not important enough to her to even be in the wedding party, even though my other sister and a couple from her CHURCH are included, do I really need to to attend? Can't I just send a gift and still be in the right?

Do I really need to spend money I don't have to go to a wedding where I'm going to feel like an awkward black sheep and I'm clearly NOT wanted? I would also have to miss work which I can't afford right now, I'd have to pay for my dog to stay in a kennel, things I was totally 150% willing to do if I was included.. I didn't come to the choice to opt out of the wedding easily but if I really don't mean that much to her, should I put myself through all of this just to attend?

The only reason she gave me is that "we're not that close." My youngest sister and her are far apart in age and not close, either. I KNOW that's not really the reason why she excluded me but it's not my place to demand the truth. I ended up giving her short, one word answers and she thought I was angry with her when she told me this. I was just trying to hang up quickly so I wouldn't make her feel guilty by crying, now she assumes I'm angry. I don't know what to do about that either.

What do I do in this situation? I can't change her mind and I don't want to as that's not my place, I don't want to make things awkward. I also don't want to attend a wedding where I'm going to get awkward stares, awkward questions about why I'm not in the wedding party from nosy relatives… I'd be so uncomfortable and I'm afraid it would show on her wedding day.

I thought this could be a new chance for us to reconnect but it appears that I was delusional. She made it very clear where she stands and to not include me in her wedding while she includes the rest of my family so I can literally be the black sheep does NOT sound appealing to me.

Her day or not, I don't understand why I should put myself through this? I know it's her day and that's why I'm asking if I can graciously opt out of this wedding since she's made it clear she could care less if I RSVP or not? How do I navigate this situation?

No such thing as "HYPO"-allergenic dogs?

Asked: No such thing as "HYPO"-allergenic dogs?

I see this a lot on here… and I wonder how everyone defines the word "hypoallergenic".

Yes, I know that all dogs that have skin produce dander and that dander not hair is what causes allergic reactions.

But the word doesn't mean "NO-allergies" the prefix "hypo" means "low" or "less" (like HYPOthyroidism, or HYPOglycemia or HYPOthermia mean *less* thyroid function or blood glucose or heat in the body, not *none*).

So… are there breeds are that HYPOallergenic and less likely to cause an allergic reaction? Or is it all placebo effect? Is there a correlation between shedding hair and shedding dander that would make low-shedding breeds low-allergen breeds?

BQ: How do you reduce dog hair in your home? Does that routine change during peak shedding seasons?
