Dog went crazy when a little dog was behind the fence at the dog park?

AustralianShepherd Asked: Dog went crazy when a little dog was behind the fence at the dog park?

My 6.5 month old American Bulldog is okay around a lot of dogs. He loves playing with dogs. When he was a puppy, he was exposed to many different dogs. Yesterday, we were at our local dog park, and there are two sides. One side is for big dogs, and the smaller side is for smaller dogs. I had all three of my dogs in the big dog side yesterday and a little bichon frise arrived at the park and went to the other side. My Bully went absolutely crazy! He was barking really loud and wouldn't stop. He didn't growl or show his teeth, he was just barking. About ten minutes later, a large black Lab came in to the big dog side and he was fine. They played like crazy. My dogs always bark when someone new arrives at the park, but hes never seen another dog on the other side before. Do you think he was upset that he didn't get to play with the little dog, or what do you think?

Dogs bitten me twice and parents don’t seem to care?

Dottie Mae Asked: Dogs bitten me twice and parents don’t seem to care?

My dogs a yorkie mic and no amount of training will work on him. Whenever he starts to improve my parents stop taking him, thinking he's fixed. About a month ago I was playing my my fog and he bit my hand, he didn't leave a scar but it hurt alot and now today while I was walking he went ballistic towards another dog and tool a bit in my calf near my knee. I called my parents immediately and they don't seem to care at all. My mums too lenient with dog and treats him like a baby, let him have treats all the time, doesn't know or want to know how to properly control him and my step dad is plain clueless. I feel like the disciplinary person out of all of us. I'm the most tough with him, I make sit or lie down in order to receive a treat, I don't believe he should just get one for begging. If he's been naughty I send him to his bed, if he's barking too much I take him away from the window. Sometimes he gets all hyped up over a toy so I take it away for at least an hour do he can calm down. I don't feel my dog knows where he stands in our little 'pack' he thinks he's one of us when he's not. I've explained to my parents there needs to be an 'alpha' and that if we don't show my dog who's boss he will think he is. My dog isn't obedient and I'm struggling to get my parents to work with me when training the dog. I always went to training and my mum hasn't and I can't understand why she doesn't want to know how to control our dog properly. We've had loads of arguements over this dog.

My parents don't want my dog to wear his muzzle because they think it makes him look mean, I am absolutely fed up I this! The reason he has the muzzle is for his own protection and to other dogs! He needs it but my parents won't let me out it on him. The bite he took in me is sore and the skin is raised. What can I do?

Why is my dog so retarded?

Paul McCartney Fan Asked: Why is my dog so retarded?

If you've seen the movie Marley and Me then let me tell you my dog is exactly the same retardasion level as Marley. He's a black labrador which everyone tells me that labradors are always hyper but no theyre wrong. I have a friend who has a labrador and she is the most well manered dog ive ever met in my entire life. My family and I have been thinking maybe he's the runt of the litter. He had an owner before us. She's a close friend of mine and had to move put but her other dog had pups and there was one left so she asked if i wanted it. I went and talked about him so I accepted him. Once she came to my house and I asked her had he been always this retarded she replied by laughing and saying yes. I train him well I dont hurt him if he does something wrong I say no and gently slap him in the butt but I rarely do that. I have him since he was 2 months old now he's 2 years old. I cant bring him to ''school'' because I font have much money and I dont want to give him away but sonetimes he's such a pain.

WONT YOU PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME

    Should I make a blog…?

    Giftie Asked: Should I make a blog…?

About different animals that are in need of homes? I want to help animals in someway and this is probably the best I can do for now since I'm 14 and can't adopt a pet of my own.
I could write about the different animals(dogs, cats, horses. etc.) that need homes and inform people on how to take care of their pets.
Well, is it a good idea or should I just sit down and shutup? ^^'

What can I do with a bioscience degree?

BlueShroo Asked: What can I do with a bioscience degree?

    Hello there,

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do career wise? I know that there is a huge variety of jobs to choose from in this field, however, I would absolutely hate to end up working in an office or lab. I appreciate that lot's of jobs would involve these at some point but I would go insane if it involved nothing but office or lab work. I am looking for something a little more exciting and adventurous, preferably involving nature but not necessarily. I chose biosciences as I was unsure as to what I wanted to do, I'm good at science and as it has a large range of career options… I thought it to be the safest bet. In hindsight, I would love to become a marine biologist but as my uni doesn't offer this course, unfortunately, that's not going to be possible (I can't change to a different uni). So yes, if you have any ideas, please let me know… a career that is mostly exciting and diverse and brings in a decent salary – am willing to do further training etc. Have no interest in working as a dog handler, animal trainer, fishery manager, zoo keeper, or for the water board etc.

Thanks icon smile What can I do with a bioscience degree?

Why does my dog growl and cry at the same time?

Stefany Som Asked: Why does my dog growl and cry at the same time?

Maltese/Shitzu: she's been randomly growling at the windows and nothings there. Tonight she growled a little and cried at the same time.. I don't know what's wrong? We've played with her a lot already and fed her. She usually growls at the windows, but nothing's there.
