    I hate my German Shepherd…?

Asked: I hate my German Shepherd…?

A couple of months ago, my live-in boyfriend and I got a puppy, a German Shepherd mixed with some wolf. We didn't know she had wolf in her when we got her. Anyways, I really hate this **** dog. I wanted a small dog y'know, something I could handle. He had to insist on this ****ing dog because "I don't know how to handle little dogs but I know how to train German Shepherds, trust me". Well guess who doesn't know how to handle nor train dogs in general? Now she's almost 9 months old and she has already viciously attacked me SEVERAL times. I have sprained my wrist 3 times and sprained my ankle once because of this dog. She's not normally aggressive and she can be really loving and sweet but unless you are screaming at the top of your lungs and use some sort of violent force with her she won't respond to you. I don't like treating her like that, but there's NO other ways to deal with her that she responds to. I want her gone, but my bf loves her and will resent me if I make him get rid of this dog. She has to spend DAYS in her crate because she just can not behave. We can't even take her for walks, and it's beginning to get dangerous for me to even take her outside to pee. Tonight, I almost got dragged out into the street and she also left a good cut on my foot in her attempt to jump the neighbor. I have to lay on her and choke her and struggle with her so the neighbors can go by. I've tried every sort of training method known to Google.I'm tired. I feel like a terrible person for hating her but I can't take this anymore… I regret her. I wish I had stood my ground and got the dog I knew wouldn't of been a problem. I hate this dog so much and I don't know what to do. She's destroyed our mattress, destroyed my clothes and shoes, destroyed his shoes, peed and pooped all over our bed once before, hurt the other pets, and is a safety hazard in the car. She refuses to get into the car, and once she is in the car she does nothing but bark and growl and cause a riot. Is there anything I can even do?

Is this enough exercise for a German Shepherd?

Asked: Is this enough exercise for a German Shepherd?

I want to get a German Shepherd. have a smallish yard that is fenced in, however I can take the dog for a walk for about an hour before I go to work, and my boyfriend could walk him or her for another hour later in the day. Our dog would have access to the back yard throughout the day to eliminate, etc.

Is an hour walk, twice a day enough exercise? Probably once a week I'd be able to take him or her to my dad's who lives out in the country to play and exercise.

ps. Of course my dog will be living inside my house, I don't believe in chaining up a dog or leaving it outside all day.

Is a 600 square foot yard, enough for a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever to play around in?

Asked: Is a 600 square foot yard, enough for a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever to play around in?

It has grass, and I was also wondering if I could leave the dogs alone in a Cage [which is the size of 2 bedrooms] for about 4 hours a day? If no, where do I leave them?

    Bonding exercises for two dogs?

Asked: Bonding exercises for two dogs?

I have a 5? year old Jack Russell that I have had for 2 years now.I recently adopted a 1 year old German Shepherd. My Jack Russell gets VERY defensive and angry when the German Shepherd jumps around or gets in face.My German Shepherd will bark like crazy if I play or pet my Jack Russell. They are completely fine when they are in the house or outside when none of the above is going on.

I realize they just need to time to arrange the pack order and get to know one another, but I was wondering if anyone had any bonding exercises I could do with them.I bring them for walks together and night, and let them be outside together while I keep an eye out for them inside the house.

Why is that when dogs bites men its not news, but when a man bites a dog its a news?

Asked: Why is that when dogs bites men its not news, but when a man bites a dog its a news?

Dog is purely acting on instinct in their only form of communication. Man has higher thought processes and can choose to rise above instinct.

What should I do to help my dog?

Asked: What should I do to help my dog?

I adopted a German Shepherd who is somewhere around 2 years old. This past week was the first time we left him alone while we my family was either at school or working. We leave at around 8am, and come home at 4pm. Before we leave I walk him twice, and once I come home he gets more walks. The last walk he gets is at 10pm or 11pm. The problem is that he has been waking me up at 3-4am in the morning, and needing to go out. He has been having a lot of accidents in the house, and more than once in a day. They have all been diarrhea, and he does this about 3 times a day. That just isn't normal. We called his former foster parents, and they suggested we crated him until his nerves calmed down, but I would rather him be able to roam around my house with my other pets.

Is there anything I can do to calm him nerves, and help him to stop waking up in the middle of the night? Also he cries every time I leave the room without him. Any suggestions about that?

Thank you! Any advise will be helpful.

Why did my dog become clingy all of a sudden?

Asked: Why did my dog become clingy all of a sudden?

I have a soon to be 6 year old German Shepherd named Gretchen. She's healthy and everything. But lately she's become SO CLINGY! Don't get me wrong I love Gretchen, but she's becoming way to clingy.

We got a new puppy in October, perishable it's that more attention is on the puppy and not her? No one in my family is ill. I have other dogs, and none of them are like this, just Gretchen! Wherever I go, there she is!

A couple of weeks ago, she ran upstairs and jumped on my mom, then she tried it again with my sister and I. What;s possibly wrong with her?

    Here's a picture of Gretchen:
