    My Dog Hates His Leash?

Asked: My Dog Hates His Leash?

I have 3 dogs, theyre all males, chow, siberian husky & terrier. the chow is 9 years old.the siberian husky is 4 months old.& the terrier is 2 months old. well my chow loves the leash, whenever he sees it he comes to us quick to put it on. the terrier goes outside without one because he always listen seriously. but the siberian hates it, hes come near me to smell the leash, bite it ect. but if i try to put it on him he backs up or runs away. when he was 2months old i put the leash on him to go outside to poop but again his first time being he struggled, so i brought him inside & took it off. the 2nd time i forcefully put it on & he ran around the backyard trying to rip it off & he suceeded. i know i ****** UP -_-. so dont tell me i did -_-. just tell me what can i do that will help me get the leash on him & take him outside . oh and ive taken my chow & terrier outside & my siberian sees them from the backyard but all he does is back.

My dog won’t eat anything, what should I feed him?

Asked: My dog won’t eat anything, what should I feed him?

My dog is probably the pickiest eater in the world, he doesn't even like people food. I have tried every type of food possible and I can't get him to eat anything. The only thing he will eat are beggin strips and chicken jerky. I know this isn't good for him and I don't know what else to give him.

Dog is vomiting and has diarrhea after he was neutered?

Asked: Dog is vomiting and has diarrhea after he was neutered?

My standard poodle (1 year old) was neutered on thursday (4 days ago) and has been fine, though a little depressed and not as happy as usual, since saturday. But yesterday he started vomiting up bile. He has vomited 4 times since saturday night, and has tried to vomit more but nothing came out, just a bit of saliva. He has also been having diarrhea since saturday night, sometimes he has a big watery poop but other times he seems to have to go but not much comes out, just a few little squirts.
He's a foster puppy (dog guide in training) so I can't take him to see the vet until tomorrow, as they're very busy, but does anyone have any advice on what to feed him, if anything?

Also, he's not eating his kibble and he isn't drinking either. I offered him a small piece of a banana, which he usually loves, and he did eat it, but very slowly.

What should I do? The vet wont help?

Asked: What should I do? The vet wont help?

Last week, I noticed that one of my dog's molar had fallen out on the floor. I then checked my dog's mouth and noticed that she had problems with her teeth. Based on my research, I would say that it is periodontitis, so a few days ago I brought my dog to the vet. The vet however, after doing a physical examination and giving her her rabies shot, didn't say anything about her teeth. So I told him about how her teeth seem to be loose and how her gums were receding. He told me that her teeth were just a little bit yellow and that was it. I really don't know what to do and it is really worrying me! Please help!

Is it safe to give my dog her antibiotic by breaking open the pill and mixing the contents with some

Asked: Is it safe to give my dog her antibiotic by breaking open the pill and mixing the contents with some

My poor Welsh Corgi just had surgery to remove an object lodged in her intestines, blocking them. She came through well, but the vet prescribed her an antibiotic, amoxicillin, probably as a preventative measure. She is supposed to take it twice daily.
The problem is, that dog will not take pills. Whether I hide them in a treat or poke them down her throat, the pill inevitably busts and spills out its contents. This has happened with past medications, and we have already lost one pill this way from her current regiment.
So, my thought was, since the capsule just disolves anyways, why not just break it open and mix the contents with, say, some yogurt (something easy in her poor sutured intestines). Would this harm her or affect the medicines potency in any way?
She is also on ciprofloxacin, though the time for her first dose hasn't yet come, it's a solid tablet and shouldn't be as much of a problem. She is almost 4 and otherwise healthy except for being overweight (or really just plain fat).
I would ask my vet, but they are closed today, and may be monday too, and she is likely to miss alot of doses between now and then if I don't find a solution.
I just need to know if mixing the powdered medicine from the capsule with yogurt will be a safe and effective way to deliver it, if there are any risks or concerns, and anything else relevant. Sources for answers are encouraged, I would like to have as much assurance as possible in whichever direction. Thanks for any answers in advance, and God bless!

    What’s wrong with my throat?

Asked: What’s wrong with my throat?

I make this really weird, random noise with my throat. It's like a "chripping hum". I know that's probably not the right way to describe it, but I really don't know what it'd be called exactly. It's slightly different than what a throat clear sounds like. It's very annoying and bothersome to me. First off, I have no idea why it's even doing it and second, I don't know if it's serious. If I touch my neck/throat when the noise goes on, I can feel it kind of "vibrate" and I can see my throat area "move" a little. It doesn't happen when I sleep. I eat/drink normally and there is no pain/discomfort or noticeable swelling. The noise usually happens more than once at a time – like it'll just happen and go several times in a row, then stop. Then awhile later, it's back again. I notice it tends to be worse at night… or when I think about it. It's so weird and annoying! Not to mention frustrating because I want to make it stop… but I don't know how.

I halfway believe it may be some kind of habit I've developed. I'd like it to go away though. I don't know if other people can hear it or not. My mom swears she can't hear it. I'll do it… then I'll ask her if she heard the noise. Everytime she swears she doesn't hear anything. No one else ever says anything about it either, so I guess only I can hear it.

The one thing today, our dog was chewing and I made the noise I did. My dad was like "was that *dog's name"? I don't know if he heard my weird noise, or if it really was just the dog's obnoxious noises. I don't want other people to hear it… I'd be really embarrassed.

So – does anyone have any suggestions? How can I make this stop and go away?

Added info – I'm 21 (will be 22) and female. I have no known health issues and have never smoked, done drugs or drank alcohol.

    Question about Coprophagia?

    Asked: Question about Coprophagia?

I eat my own poo, and live with my parents. (By the way, this is a true story). I began this practice by putting my finger in my butt wondering how it feels in there. I felt it, and it felt good. My parents wouldn't like this, so in the beginning I flung the solid poo around in my room. It smelled, but I got used to it. The soft poo, since I couldn't go to the bathroom, had to be eaten.. I don't like doing it but now I compulsively eat the hard and soft poo now, I hate it but I can't help it. I can see bits of feces on my walls and the hard feces in there (hidden, but visible!). A family member saw this and I'm covering it up as dog poo. It's still covered to this day.

I can't go to therapy, I'll try to stop on my own, I need help: Can you tell me what to do when I get the urge?

Also, how can I clean my room from the poo and make my room smell nice again?

(Trust me, this isn't fake.. I'm also 13.)

5 stars for the most helpful answer!

(How can I clean it without having to use bleach)?
(Floor cleaners are possible, though.. it's like hidden all around my room, etc.)

    My dog won’t eat??!!?

    Asked: My dog won’t eat??!!?

Okay, so my dog is a schnauzer, he's 1and a half years old. He's lived with us for more than a year, and we love him lots and lots.
Recently, he had an infection in his leg, and had to get an injection. The vet wanted us to feed him some pills once a day. My dog wouldn't eat it, so we had to feed him some cookies with the pill.
Now, he won't eat his breakfast or dinner, and even if we feed him ourselves, he'll just spit it out without chewing.
Is this because of too many cookies? Or is he just picky? What must I do to get him to eat???
    Thx…
